KENYA : KPA and KCB Lions post second wins in Kampala

Kenya Ports Authority Basketball Team (KPA) who are the reigning regional basketball champions on Wednesday night posted their second successive win following their 47-24 (9-9, 20-8,8-4,10-3) win over Uganda’s KCCA at the Lugogo gymnasium in Kampala Uganda.
With the second win in the pool of four teams, KPA is assured of a semi finals slot on Saturday but will have to win their final match on Friday against Burundi’s Barco Stars to finish on top of Pool A and avoid meeting the other Kenyan team Eagle Wings in the semi finals.
Eagle Wings qualified for the semi finals on top of Pool B that had only three teams following APR’s last minute withdrawal. The Kenyans reigning champions won both their matches against Don Bosco from Tanzania and Uganda Christian University.
Hilda Indasi was the top scorer of the match with 17 points, Zainabu Ramadhan had 8 points while KCA’s Carol Nantalo scored 7.

Another Kenyan team at the championship KCB also recorded their second win of the tournament white washing Al Hilal from South Sudan 83-47.
