Share On Saturday night, Ndejje University Angels put up arguably their worst performance in the MTN-Fuba League this season.
On the other hand, it could also be the best game Stephen Omony has had this term. He feasted on everything Ndejje did wrong. Omony also showed his own brilliance to score 28 points and 12 rebounds as Miracle Eagles flattened Ndejje 81-56 at YMCA court.

When they touched him, he made all seven shots on the charity line and was even better from further away making five out five from downtown. “I was shooting normal, nothing spectacular. Everything fell in place for me and the team,” a collected Omony said.

Miracle, now 7-2, are firmly on course for a maiden play-offs appearance. “So far, we have worked hard to get here but cannot be satisfied. We can do better,” Omony added. Ndejje coach Walker Obedi cut a disconsolate figure as his side struggled without star guard Cyrus Kiviri.

They scored only 10 of 22 on the line, committed 27 turnovers and lost on the inside where Miracle dominated the boards 43-32.

This was not a contest as Ndejje, who beat Miracle in a friendly earlier, fell to 4-5 in the season so far.
