Boris Stankovic Cup : Carlos Morais leads Angola to the title

Angola celebrated the Boris Stankovic Cup title. They fired past Australia in the championship game tonight. Carlos Morais (190-G-85) masterminded the victory unloading 26 points for Angola.
The African powerhouse stunned the Boomers in the opening frame. Angola outscored their opponents 24:8 to ensure a comfortable lead at the first break. The Boomers stopped the rot in the second term. They picked up the slack but still trailed by 15 points at the interval 26:41. Angola once again increased the tempo after the big break. The African team fired 25 points in the third stanza to leave the Boomers behind by 24 points. Australia tried hard but had little chances in this one afterwards. Kikas Gomes (200-C/F-80, college: Valparaiso) delivered 21 points, while Eduardo Mingas (200-F-79) added 11 in the victory. Mark Worthington (202-F-83, college: Metro St.) finished with 11 points for Australia. Jesse Wagstaff (203-F-86, college: Metro St.), Hugh Greenwood (190-G-92) and Luke Schenscher (216-C-82, agency: Priority Sports, college: Georgia Tech) accounted for 10 points apiece in the loss.
