MIRACLE POWER have a ten-month-old grudge against the Kyambogo Warriors. Today at YMCA, they plan to settle it.

“We so want to beat them, to prevent them from making the playoffs,” said Power assistant coach Brian Wathum the moment it became clear his team had the chance to damage Kyambogo’s hopes of returning to the past season.

Warriors defeated Power 4-1 in last year’s best-of-seven playoff finals to win the FUBA men’s championship, leaving their rivals desperate for revenge.

But Power, much like everyone, did not expect the opportunity to come so early. Fast forward and the Warriors are on the back-foot, struggling to hold onto their playoff ticket.

If the Warriors lose, they will have the same number of defeats (six) with Miracle, meaning the two clubs’ meeting on October 3 will likely decide who wins the fourth and final playoff berth.

Power, UCU Canons and Falcons have secured their postseason passage.

MEANWHILE Emmanuel Enabu, James Lule and Derrick Katumba have been chosen by former NBA star-Steve Smith as the best three young basketball players around the country. The earn a trip to the USA to attend a basketball camp as well as watch one NBA game.

The two months search that involved searching for young basketball talent was concluded on Wednesday at YMCA
