FALCON’s basketball club has acquired the services of five Rwandan players ahead of their fixture today against minnows Saint Michael at YMCA.

The side sponsored by Mountain Dew unveiled their new signs at Makerere University sports ground yesterday. Top of the list is former APR skipper Karim Musi, who is a shooting guard.

Others from the army side including Mike Buzango, who is also a shooting guard, Didier Gahorani, a point guard and two centres Cedric Sinarinzi and Byeven Ngandu.

The new signings join Zone V Most valuable player Richard Osano Omondi, from Kenya.

“Our focus this year is to reclaim back the league crown, but at the same time our focus is education,” Dennis Mbidde, the club’s marketing manager said. “This deal 80% is an educational scheme for our players and at the same time identify talent. The other percent which is 20 is financial and I can say that we will be spending sh6million every month.”

Falcons lost Stephen Omwony and Malinga brothers Henry and Eric who joined league champions Warriors.
