Africa Champions Cup for Men: Two Nigerian players, Ebikoro & Nambam join ABC

FIBA Africa Zone-3 qualifier and 2005 FIBA Africa Champions Cup for Men champion, Abidjan Basketball Club (A.B.C) is not leaving anything to chance in her quest to do well at the final round of the 22nd edition of the continent's most glamorous club championship - The Africa Champions Cup for Men with two Nigerian imports.

According to an impeccable source close to the Abidjan-based side, the management of the Ivorian league champion rose from a crucial meeting after the zone-3 qualifiers where the club lost to Nigeria's Niger Potters basketball club and resolve to strengthened the side ahead the final phase of the championship billed for Angola cities of Luanda, Huambo and Cabinda.

The two Nigerian recruited by the side for the big task ahead both played in the forward line, Dennis Ebikoro of Ebun Comets basketball club and Kevin Ninmol Nambam of Plateau Peaks basketball club and are bring wealth of experience to the side.

Ebikoro, who plays in the small forward and power forward position, is not new to the Champions Cup terrain as he has been through it with his Nigeria side in 2004 in Cairo, Egypt and during the 2006 qualifiers held in Abidjan while Nambam a centre has seen lots of top flight basketball actions in the past.

With the addition, A.B.C is said to be ready to challenge for honours against defending champion, Petro Atletico of Luanda and other top clubs who will be on parade from December 13 though 22 when hostilities began.
