NIGERIA : AAG: Senegal, Angola win Gold

Senegal female national team has avenged their 2003 and 2005 All Africa Games and FIBA Africa Championship defeat in the hand of Nigeria with a 60-46 spanking of the Nigeria Lady Tigers for the gold medal of the 9th All Africa Games in Algiers, Algeria.

The Nigeria Women team who led group-B of the Games beating Senegal at the group stage of the Games last week were

downed by the more determined Lioness leading the Kevin Cook tutored Nigerian Ladies by 37-28 at half-time.

Angola won the bronze medal beating fellow South African neighbour Mozmbique to the third place, while its male counterpart

defeated Egypt in the final by 56-50 points to retain the gold medal it won four years ago in Abuja, Nigeria. Nigeria men team settles for the bronze beating Mali.

The Nigerian contingent are due back Tuesday aboard a chattered flight.
