NIGERIA : AAG: Nigeria teams in last-8

Nigeria male and female team have book a spot at the quarter-finals of the basketball event of the 9th All Africa Games holding in Algiers, Algeria.

The Nigeria female team who were unstoppable top group-B with maximumm points while its male counterpart placed second behind Angola.

Nigeria stopped ambitious Camerron who until Tuesday game against Nigeria had only lost one match just like Nigeria bowed to the more experiance Nigerian side led by Olumide Oyedeji.

The Nigeria side led its Cameroonian counterpart with halftime scores standing at 46-40 but the Paul Biya's boys could only register 21 points in the last two quaters with fulltime scores at 81-61 points.
Angola on the other hand purnished Mali by 71-64 points while South Africa recorded a surprised 82-66 points over Tunisia while DR Congo compounded the woes of Liberia by 93-66 points defeat.

In the women event Nigeria topped her group with maximum points from five matches as Mfon Udoka and her teammates defeated Mali by 65-49 points to set up a quarter-final battle line against DR Congo.
