MIRACLE basketball club is faced with the burden of halting UCU Canons’ winning streak when the two face off at Lugogo today.

As the national basketball league first round draws to a close, Miracle is the only team left in division I that can bring to a halt the Mukono-based team’s fortunes.
The Canons have not lost a match since the league started, defeating the likes of defending champions Nkumba-Marines, Sadolin Power, Warriors, KIU and Charging Rhinos on their way to accumulating 16 points to top the table.
Canons are backing themselves to complete a demolition job and finish the first round unscathed.
Miracle, on top of enjoying support of other teams that have fallen prey to the Canons, are also quietly confident after the return of skipper Ben Komakech and forward Edward Bongomin to the fold.
“We are only thinking of a victory over Canons to improve our position,” Miracle’s Chris Kyebambe noted.
