NIGERIA : Team ready for Novi Sad

The coaching crew of the Nigeria's U-9 National Men team, Junior Tigers led by Adeka Dauda has released list of players for the team's final close camping exercise preparatory to the FIBA World Championship in Novi Sad, Serbia.
At the end of a ten-day open camp tryout concluded at the weekend at the Sports Hall, National Stadium, Lagos 15 players out of 25 have been selected for the second and final phase camp slated for the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna this week.

The successful players are Prey Ayibakuro (Center forward), Yussuf Adamu (Small Forward), Asortse Ngusha (Power forward), Omorogbe Nicholas (Guide), Ugbede Oguchi (Small Forward), Ehiagwina George (Small Forward), Mbah Ifeanyi (Power Forward), Dauda Daniel (Guide), Baraya Ahiram (Power Forward), Bukar Biu (Guide) and Oladimeji Olakunle (Power Forward).
Others are Otiero Michael (Guide), Oyalade Tari (Small Forward), Egbeyemi Ayodeji (Small Forward) and Udoh Blessing (Guide).

According to the Junior Tigers boss, the players are expected to resume for close camp this week, to enable the technical crew put finishing touch to the teams' preparation, adding that three foreign-based players will join the team for the final camping.
"What we did during the open camping was to give kids who fall within the age bracket for the world championship an opportunity for a place in the national team," he said.
"At the end of the exercise, we have picked those that are good enough to progress to the final stage of close camping slated for Kaduna. These players will be joined by their 3 other foreign-based counterpart, who are expected to arrive soon"
"It is out of these 18 players that the technical crew will pick the final 12 that will make the trip to Serbia," he added.

Dauda is been assisted by coaches Emmanuel Okolo (UNILAG) and Emmanuel Ogah (FCT).
