UGANDA : Miracles Plot to Outdo Power At Rubaga
COACH Peter Mubanda cautioned his team about champions Power as the team to watch in the Miracle Invitational basketball tournament.
The 5th edition of the two-day event, dubbed MBC Challenger series, gets underway today at the Miracle court in Rubaga."The boys will have to step up gear if they wish to hold off the stiff challenges that await them.
But at the same time, I believe they are the surprise package to win the event," Miracle coach Mubanda noted.
Former champions and tournament hosts Miracle, are confident the adequate preparations, coupled with home court advantage will give them an edge over their opponents.Meanwhile, MUK-Sparks, who finished second in last year's edition, have indicated that they will push much harder for the cash prize in the women's category.
Other women's teams expected to take part are defending champions KCC Leopards, Amazon Rhino, Crane High and KIU.
Eight men's and four women's teams will use the event as a build up for the league next month.
