UGANDA : Power to open second round with Miracle

THE MTN basketball league second round tips off on Saturday, July 8 with title contenders Sadolin Power and top challengers Miracle facing off at the YMCA courts.

Power had a devastating round one finish with a 59-47 loss to table leaders Falcons, the result that pushed them down to fourth place at 15 points behind Warriors and Marines.
The 2000 league champions and last season' s finalists will be out to close in to secure the play offs slot.

Miracle however had a last smile of the round with a 62-55 win over Charging Rhino, which pushed them to two places above the relegation zone.
Power has had an upper hand over the Lubaga based side and the first round meeting went to Andrew Bazira's boys with a 83-60 score for a third straight win over Miracle.

Wilbrod Okecho, Ken Balyejusa, Isaac Mawiwi, Allan Tawodda and Marvin Keronga will be out to check the speed of James Kirabo, Ben Komakech, and Chris Kyebambe to maintain their play offs chess as Miracle battle relegation.

KIU will play Livingstone in another relegation battle, while former champions Lady Bucks open against Amazon.
